3) Job profiles

a)Railway Assistant Station Master (ASM) Job Profile

The main work of Assistant Station Master is working at the railway stations. They have to charge of run and stop trains at Railway stations. Asst. Station master will be the in charge of running of trains at a Railway station. He operates the signals, ensures that all goes as per the rules laid out. He will be working in shifts. Big stations may have more than one ASM.

Railway Assistant Station Master Promotion

He starts the career at the post as Assistant Station Master then after promotion; he will become a Station Master. After Station master, he became Stations Superintendent then Assistant Operations Manager, then Divisional Operations Manager.


b)Railway Goods Guard Job Profile 2016

The Guard is the in charge of a running train. Goods Guard will be in charge of a goods train. His duties include various things such as Get the vehicle guidance, tonnage of individual wagons, safer running of trains, check that doors of carriages closed contact with loco pilots, etc.

c)Railway Commercial Apprentice (CA) Job Profile

After visiting the Indian Railway website, we found that the Commercial Apprentices (CA) trained as a sort of multi-skilled supervisors in the Commercial Branch. There are 25% of the posts in the categories of Commercial Inspectors, Claims Inspectors, Rates Inspectors, Chief Booking/Parcel/Goods Clerks in Grade Pay 4200 will be filled by recruitment as Commercial Apprentices.
